Distractovision presents the Games in 5 channel: a series where we attempt to teach a board game in approximately 5 minutes including overview and set up.
Our goal is to keep tutorial content around 5-6 minutes whenever possible, but larger, more complex games may be divided into 2 to 3 parts in order to focus in on the major elements of the game. Perhaps a game has a complicated set up, a huge end of game scoring, or a mechanic with a lot of facets – these elements will receive a more thorough break down when called for.
In the end we hope it is something you can pull out on a tablet and use as a tool during set up to teach the game to new players, or just for a refresher if you haven’t played in a while. We will try to include helpful one-sheets to aid in game play.

Forbidden Desert is a cooperative board game for 2-5 players. Your team has crashed in the desert while searching for a lost city and its legendary flying machine. To survive: excavate the city, find/assemble the machine’s parts and escape before water runs out or the desert swallows you up.

Splendor is a quick game of chip collecting and card development for 2-4 players. Players collect Gems to purchase Development Cards, which help players gain Prestige Points, purchase more cards, and gain Noble tiles for bonus points.
